How often is therapy? And for how long?
I am currently accepting clients for weekly services. Initially, sessions are recommended weekly for at least 3 months to start. In some cases, sessions may transition to biweekly services as they prepare for termination of services. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and typically we will work together for 3 to 12 months before taking a break. There are absolutely exceptions, and we work together collaboratively to design a treatment plan individualized to your needs for care. I find therapy is most effective when clients apply skills from our sessions to their lived experiences outside of sessions and is committed to alongside community care and other supports.
